With the markets where they are, we thought it would be a good time to do some old

fashioned screening. We took into account a variety of different valuation measures to

create a robust list of undervalued stocks that are currently trading below 10 dollars

per share. Not all of these issues will catch up with the markets, and the markets

may not even catch up with the markets. Some may even be on a path to self-

destruction, but further research on your part may uncover quite a few gems in the

making on this list. The following listed stocks all have some very low valuations, and

are also very heavily traded, so getting in and out of them quickly will not be a problem.

Perhaps the first thing you want to consider about these types of issues when trying to
uncover golden opportunities is how heavily the stock is being shorted. Heavy short
interest may be a sign that forward earnings are artificially propped up. In other
words, those who bet against stocks typically bet against overvalued issues. When
they bet against undervalued ones, they are sticking their necks out quite a bit further,
so there is a very good chance that heavily shorted undervalued stocks are
undervalued for a reason. Considering how heavily traded these stocks are, finding
any in this list that are not heavily shorted could be a very good sign that should perk
your interest into some further investigation. Good luck.
