| Penny Stocks Daily Friday, September 3, 2004 Good Morning, A decent jobs report combined with an apparent new ceiling in the price of oil should allow stocks to continue higher today, although to match yesterdays rally would be a long shot. We could see a mixed market however as Intel's conference call yesterday was negative and will probably drag the rest of the tech world down. The DOW will probably give underlying support to all stocks, and we think most of Intel's concerns were expected and already priced in to the market. For this reason, we will not see the NASDAQ sell off to much and could even see it turn positive later in the Day. We appear to be setting up for another positive week and we could see some much needed volume return as traders come back from the holiday, and kids go back to school. The Unemployment rates ability to drop a tenth of a percentage point, coupled with an increase in wages will almost definitely allow the FED to raise rates again at the end of this month. We could be seeing the soft patch in the economy firming up, but we will need to see a lot more positive data to confirm this. New Initiatives and Recent Developments Volume has slowed back down in most of the issues we are in and will allow for a much needed break as we have been making a lot of quick decisions and taking some profits. We have enough cash available to add to one of our positions that meet our next buy point, and if more than one appear to be getting there, it will be best to remain patient to see which one deserves the cash the most. If we see some positive results, we will likely see more big companies jump on the bandwagon. The recent price support shows a very small chance of any bad news, and when we see some kind of release, we would expect to see volume return and the stock run at least to the high $.20's. Of course trading volume in a particular security will affect how fast your order is filled but overall there is no way to guarantee that an order will be filled. It is still worthwhile to feel out the market in between the ask and the bid. Even if you don't get filled you will at least get a glimpse into who is bullish and who is not. In lightly traded issues it is sometimes hard to get a fill, even at an ask or bid price. Just sit tight and wait, but don't leave the screen with an order in. The slow execution can be an advantage for us giving just enough time to pull an order out if things turn the other way. | Penny Stocks Daily Thursday, September 2, 2004 Good Morning, The markets have been largely unchanged so far this week, and with some numbers out this morning we look to head down a little bit. Jobless claims were up a bit and retail sales were down in August. Oil continues to plague the markets and the Futures point down modestly this morning. If the markets digest these numbers the way they should, then we expect the DOW not to go to far, and possibly reverse mid day finishing up with a rally for the end of the week. Why? The oil and stocks arbitration play is dead. Week to week jobless claims do not mean much, especially with the hard monthly numbers coming out tomorrow, and we would expect to see a little bit of a rebound. Productivity is up big time which will help profit margins, and more than make up for the lackluster retail sales. We think retail has seen a bottom despite slower than normal back to school sales. We agree with one theory that kids wait till school starts to see what is cool, and will start buying in September. As volume returns to the markets over the next few weeks, we expect to see a lot of bargain hunting, as finding value in a market like this is not a particularly hard challenge. The next big hurdle will be getting past the next possible rate hike from the FED this month. Whether or not they raise is unimportant, whether Greenspan continues his soft patch in the economy and continued measured pace theory, coupled with no fear of inflation will be the catalyst as we head into the elections. New Initiatives and Recent Developments We are currently sitting with around 7% of the portfolio in cash, which is rather low but justified given the recent gains in the positions we are in. We will still look to take profits from our winners, but will be somewhat less aggressive as we feel patience will add to our profits next week. We are prepared to add to at least one of our positions that meets our next buy point, which one depends on which issue comes back the furthest. The Portfolio Ambient Corp. We will continue to hold patiently as we have seen Market Makers do nothing but soak up shares from week hands. We held up at the 52 week low and the current wide spread makes us feel that MM's are not willing to sell much at these prices. Time will tell and we are certainly concerned with what is happening, but feel that a patient exit strategy will be the best. We are confident that ATNG will see a nice bounce well above current levels very shortly. ____________________________________________________________ MobilePro Corp. We would not be opposed to buying more at our next target, especially if volume continues to be low. We will look for the next huge volume day to take profits again just like the beginning of this week. ____________________________________________________________ Daily Tip When trying to measure the risk reward ratio in the Micro-Cap world it is often difficult to quantify. One way to distribute your money properly is to use less money when starting out with a lower priced stock. We use either 6, 7, or 8% of our money per trade and the amount depends, among other things, on the price. Stocks below a penny are almost always candidates for 6%, while anything over $.20 would be an 8%er. | Penny Stocks Daily Wednesday, September 1, 2004 Good Morning, Oil may have found a bottom, at least in the near term, however, given the recent tandem movement between the stock market and oil, the DOW and others should be much higher. We may see a slight pick up in volume today just because the month of August is over. It will still be a few weeks before we see a substantial pick up in liquidity, and it may even take until after the Election for a lot of big players to want to get involved. It certainly matters who wins this thing, but not so much to the markets. Just getting the election over with would be positive for stocks, and something to keep in mind is that markets have historically done well when their is gridlock in Washington. In other words a different party would be in control of the legislative branch than the executive branch, which way does not really matter. We can at least take comfort in the fact that the markets, although tested this years lows quite dramatically, remain largely unchanged on the year. We all know that stocks sell off in October or there abouts, and they rally around Christmas time. The question is where will we be right before he sell off comes. Finding new lows for the year would be detrimental, but would certainly provide a good trading opportunity. So be ready to buy an ETF such as the QQQ this fall once we see a good bit of capitulation and ultra high readings on the Volatility Indices and could expect at least a five to ten percent gain into the first of next year. Small Caps and penny stocks have picked up quite a bit of volume over the past few weeks. We have also see a lot less 52 week lows being formed and a substantial percentage of new 52 week highs are being made. The number of issues on the OTC BB continues to decline which is positive, that is if you like companies that file their reports to the SEC on time. Fall and Winter is historically the best time for the OTC BB as investors utilizing the high risk portion of their investments buy after they come back from vacation and earn a little extra money, then they take their profits in the spring to use on vacation again. The past several years has shown more and more volume and excessive percentage gains in this market each Fall, and so far this year proves to be no exception. New Initiatives and Recent Developments We took half profits in TRPL as the bid opened up at our price target rather strongly. We will watch this issue closely today to try and preserve the rest of our profits. ONEV took off as well yesterday but did not quite make it to our target, we will watch this one closely as well. We do have a new buy planned for today, although our price target may not be met. TNGO currently has an ask of $.015, and we would only pay $.0125 or below. We will not chase this issue if it happens to take off and will continue to watch it until it comes to our target. Tango Inc. manufactures clothing and other apparel for some major brand names, including NIKE and Ralph Lauren. The retail sector overall seems to be bottoming. TNGO's revenues appear to be up big time this year and they only have about 60 million shares outstanding. Recent price action points to a bottom, although we will have to be careful to buy at the right time. We are waiting for a technical pull back of several days to get in. Volume has remained heavy, but this stock is highly volatile. Remember to wait for the Ask to approach your buy point before entering your limit order, you don't want to make the stock look strong. Remember to buy into weakness. We will discuss this issue in more detail tomorrow. The Portfolio Ambient Corp. Now is simply not a good time to sell and we would like to see a significant one day pop on some good news to get out that day. We have not averaged up in a while, but this stock is definitely the place to do it. We may have found the next bottom but only time will tell, we have lowered our next buy slightly as we are becoming as weighted in this security as we want to be. Things remain solid fundamentally, but we have seen volume pull back dramatically. Nevertheless this stock still remains on of the most highly liquid issues on the OTC BB and perhaps the most promising candidate for graduation to the NASDAQ at this price range. ____________________________________________________________ One Voice Technologies Inc. The news was exactly what we were looking for and we can likely expect more contracts to come. ____________________________________________________________ Transportation Logistics International Inc. The volatility caused by the low float of this issue allows for short term trading opportunities, currently between a dime and $.15. We feel that TRPL is a good candidate for a long term hold however. ____________________________________________________________ Daily Tip Aggressive buying is something that should be done rarely. When market conditions dictate, however, it is important to get the job done as quickly as possible. When aggressively buying an OTC BB stock it is important to exhibit patience but determination, and not to let the Market Makers know what your doing. Simply place your limit order at the ask and wait for it to be filled. You do not want to give the MM's anything to work with. We typically don't mind playing games as we tend to get a better price, but when you have made a clear decision, and time is the most important factor, it is not play time. | Penny Stocks Daily Tuesday, August 31, 2004 Good Morning, Volume seems to be getting slower and slower while we work our way through the Republican National Convention. With Labor day approaching and a short week coming up to finish off the summer, this trend will likely continue. We have noticed trading activity has not been this light in many years, even with the seasonality factored in. The question is where will we go when everyone returns to the market? The answer may depend on where we end up before they return. If oil continues below $40 a barrel, we could see a big rally in the markets for no other reason. This would likely lead investors towards profit taking when they return simply because they want to be ahead of the game. The markets will likely rally around election time and if we can take care of the seasonal downturn due to end of the year tax advantaged selling early, we could get a great start on the end of the year advances that we almost always see. Two other factors that could affect the markets over the next month are the jobs report for August, due out at the beginning of next month, and whether or not Alan Greenspan and Co. raise rates again. Both of these events could add some much needed volume and volatility to the markets, and provide some more extreme trading opportunities leading into October. OTC BB volume has remained light and we have seen advancers almost match decliners for several days in a row. Activity declines have not matched those of the major markets, however, and we will watch the Russell 2000 and S&P 600 Small Cap indices for signs of a break out i higher risk equities. New Initiatives and Recent Developments We continue to keep a close eye on our positions, especially TRPL which will need most of our attention today. We have plenty of cash to spread around any issues that meet our next buy goals. Once we take a few more profits, we will pursue some new issues, hopefully as early as tomorrow. We took full profits in CICI yesterday as our stop loss for the second half of the position was violated. We will keep a close eye on this issue an will likely return somewhere in the mid $.30's. Volume came in at the beginning and end of the day yesterday which made this rally more sustained and larger than previous ones. There is good news to go with it as well, and we honest expect this stock to continue upward today. You may even want to consider taking third profits on the way up. With the UN looking at their $.00 AIDS test's that are apparently the best out there, coupled with a forecast of 100 to 300 thousand sales per country, this little company could see some huge revenues. With a float less than 50 million shares, this issue will move very quickly and sporadically. The key will be anticipation, and remember to sell on the ask on the way up, and not to get caught in any downdraft's. ____________________________________________________________ Daily Tip Step back every now and then to look at very long term charts and data of the stock market. Look at historical valuation levels incorporating earnings and dividends. This will give you an advantage over the average day trader and give you a road map for your long term goals. Although there is no useful or unbiased index for the OTC BB, one can formulate a historical bird eye view of tiny stocks using other indices. Look at the AMEX to start and then mentally blend it into the NASDAQ of the seventies. Then blend into the Russell 2000. Try and find historical micro cap valuations and compare them to the stocks you are watching. Look at stocks that have grown from penny stocks to large caps and vi-ca versa. This will help you gain perspective into the current bull market. | Penny Stocks Daily Monday, August 30, 2004 Good Morning, Volume continued to be anemic on Friday with the NYSE doing less than 900,000 million shares and the NASDAQ barely topping a billion. This is well below these exchanges moving average volume and even quite low for a Friday. The Wilshire 5000 total market index, the broadest, most comprehensive index known to man, has come back about half way from these recent declines. Most other major market measures have behaved similarly, but the next couple weeks will be the deciding factor of whether to take profits and wait for October, or hold on for possible new highs. Despite the recent rebound, the charts still appear to be in a bearish trend for the bulk of this year. The key will be if we can get above the most recent highs of June, or will we continue lower to new territory. Our best guess is that we will level off if not rise a little bit this week with the republican convention, and then find the years final lows around election time, and finish the year with a strong rally towards 11,000 on the Dow. 2005 will be an interesting year once we see how much the economy grew this year, and a 2003 type rally could put us at new all time highs. New Initiatives and Recent Developments We took quick profits in SWYC last Thursday and we will continue to attempt quick trades in this highly liquid and volatile issue. Right now we are looking for anything under $.305 for an entry with 7% of our entire penny stock portfolio. Friday saw some profit taking as well as CICI's Bid briefly found our target for half profits. We liquidated half of the position and are now holding the rest with a new target and a stop loss to protect the remainder. This was a 30% profit for that portion of the portfolio. Support has just been stellar at $.21 and we feel comfortable with the allocation and profit target for now. We have seen no insider selling and any news of increased interest in their broadband over power lines, especially from ConEd or Earthlink will certainly give this stock a boost. How far it will go in the short term remains hazy, so we may lower our target once we see how far and on what kind of dollar volume. ____________________________________________________________ Atng Inc. We would also like to see the completion of at least one more acquisition soon. We still have no stop loss in place other than our standard 4.001 that we never follow stocks below. We will remain patient as we are confident of at least a significant pop to get us over our current average price. We are currently over invested in this issue and we would only buy more if price drops to our next buy with out any significant volume, news or change in fundamentals. As with all ultra low priced securities with a high number of shares outstanding, it is important to not get to overly invested. ____________________________________________________________ Communication Intelligence Corp. If things look solid enough at that price, we will talk about adding more to the position. ____________________________________________________________ MobilePro Corp. We are happy with our average and price conditions for the time being, and feel that with spreads tightening with volume at the low end of the trading range, may lead to a significant pop in price, especially with the news we are looking for concerning their next medical devices acquisition. ____________________________________________________________ Daily Tip When judging the spread on the level two screen with non ECN traded penny stocks, look for the true market to be substantially different when spreads are wide. The best time to get a price between the ask and the bid is while the spread is increasing. This is the most confusing time for everyone and although we rarely get prices between the spread, this is the time to do it. When spreads start to come back closer together, clarity returns to everyone, including the MM's..
