| Penny Stocks Daily Friday, August 13, 2004 Good Morning, We are looking for around 1080 on the S&P as key level to watch for. Futures point to a slightly higher open, but unfortunately their is no real catalyst to propel these markets forward. Oil is again sky high and this mornings economic numbers provide no comfort for continued rate increases. If 1080 begins to look like a ceiling, it will be important to adjust for a new range, possibly extending as low as 1020. Their is a widely held theory that we are currently in a wide range consolidation period that could last for 5-10 more years. Although we feel we are still in a bull market, it is important to prepare yourself for further declines, as we approach the Fall. We will certainly have a nice rally at the end of the year, the question is how far will we go. We could approach levels that would give back most of last years gains. We are, however, glad to see some volatility return to the market. New Initiatives and Recent Developments No new buys for today, just keep an eye on our positions and add to any that meet our current buy points. The Portfolio Ambient Corp. | Penny Stocks Daily Thursday, August 12, 2004 Good Morning, Yesterday was the first time in a while the markets did not trade closely to oil. As the price went back close to $45 a barrel and the stock market rallied to make up most of the days losses. The NASDAQ did not quite make as much ground, but considering CSCO was down ten percent with other warnings from tech land, it didn't do all that bad. Todays economic numbers are mixed and we expect the market to digest these numbers in a positive way. Futures were following oil again this morning, but have started creeping back up to the unchanged mark. The NASAQ is following closely, so we may see it reconcile yesterdays mixed market, which is positive, showing less focus on Cisco. We may see somewhat of a rally today if oil can stay below $45. Finishing the week in positive territory would bring a lot of skeptics on board next week, and we could see stocks get back towards the upper range of this years trading band quickly. The question remains of whether or not we have seen this years tax advantaged selling early, or if it will come again in October. Volume on the OTC BB was near record highs yesterday, but was primarily due to one issue, GWAD did over 1.5 billion shares, but at a price less than $.001, dollar volume was light. We did see very solid activity over all which is most likely a sign that capitulation is here, and we expect to see this market lead the way. Look for small caps to break out first by watching the Russell 2000. New Initiatives and Recent Developments We are heavily invested in Penny stocks at this time which is in line with our bottom theory. We added CICI to the portfolio yesterday at $.34 first thing in the morning as we had for casted. Always feel free to take quick profits if you like, but we will be holding for our profit target. This is usually when key economic data comes out and the swiftness in which fair value adjusts itself is the best indicator of how the markets will open and likely finish the day. Never count on the futures to make easy money, as you will quickly discover the folly in this technique. Instead use them as part of your overall strategy. | Penny Stocks Daily Wednesday, August 11, 2004 Good Morning, We saw a nice rally yesterday that was sparked by two factors. First, the markets were due for a bounce off of this years lows, and oil staying below $45 a barrel helped. Secondly, the markets anticipated reassurance from Alan Greenspan that the economy was on track and should resume accelerated growth, as well as stellar earnings from giants Cisco and Disney. Well, they got what they wanted from the FED and continued higher into the close. They did not, however, get what they were expecting from CSCO. Sure, revenues, net profit and earnings per share showed a record quarter, but investors had to split hairs regarding a 9% increase in inventories. Traders were apparently spooked by the fact that the last time CSCO's inventories rose substantially was at the height of the tech bubble in 2000. This fear is completely unwarranted and heres why: Cisco currently sports a P/E of less than a 30 which is well below the industry average and has close to 10 billion dollars in cash. At the height of the bubble, CSCO was the biggest company in the world and had a ridiculous P/E of somewhere far north of 100. Nevertheless, with their comments about a less than optimistic outlook as compared to a couple of months ago, CSCO and the QQQ plummeted after hours yesterday, and is the single factor for this mornings futures looking excessively negative. With yesterdays rally not being supported by intense volume, we expect a retest of this years lows, possibly today. We would expect a much quicker bounce off of these lows with higher volume. The Russell 2000 showed a much larger percentage gain yesterday than the rest of the averages which is a good sign, showing underlying support in this market. The OTC BB did around 1.6 billion shares yesterday and advancers lost to decliners by a 7 to 6 ratio. We are beginning to see trading activity pick up steadily and market internals are returning to levels not seen for a few months. This market historically has it's best gains toward the end of the year, and we would venture to say that we are at or near the lows for the year. New Initiatives and Recent Developments In addition to buying any more shares of the companies we are currently invested in at our next buy points, we have a new buy for today in which we will start with our standard 7% of the portfolio's overall assets. Earnings are due out before the bell this morning for Communication Intelligence Corp. We will look to buy CICI an where in the low $.30's and are looking for $.33 to $.35 specifically. CICI a supplier of biometric signature verification and natural input software. This seems complicated but involves a non paper venue for company audits and transactions. This company has been around since 1986 and although it has failed to generate substantial profits, has held up quite well. Their last quarter showed very promising results and record revenues and profits. They attribute this to an expanding market for their products. The company has also been able to substantially reduce their long and short term debt, and currently has an impressive balance sheet. Unless this mornings release is horrible, we will look to buy as soon as possible. In the event that this stock opens in the $.40's or above, we will wait for it to come back down. The charts currently show a great buy point and we will discuss this issue more tomorrow. The Portfolio Ambient Corp. | Penny Stocks Daily Tuesday, August 10, 2004 Good Morning, This mornings futures point to a reasonably higher open ahead of the FOMC meeting. If Greenspan and company can raise rates and show little or no signs of unease concerning the economy, and oil can stay under $45 a barrel, we could see a nice rally today. The Fed will certainly ignore most of last months employment data and focus on todays productivity gains. The market will be hanging on Greenspans every word and will hopeful come out with a little bit more clearer picture. We expect the markets to look something like yesterday, only finishing on the upside after the 2:15 meeting. There is currently around a fifty/fifty chance that the Fed will continue to raise rates in September and some guidance concerning this will definitely involve a bit of a shift between stocks and bonds. New Initiatives and Recent Developments We will continue to adjust our next buy points in the hopes of timing this turnaround just right. Yesterdays action on the OTC BB was mixed, showing a possible bottom. Our portfolio seems to have stopped it's recent bleeding and we could see a huge turnaround if just a few issues rally, especially ATNG. The Portfolio Ambient Corp. This is usually negative for these stocks historically, but this is the first time we have seen the German law firm twist. Also, ATNG has already been beaten down more than enough on no news. Hopefully they can continue to focus on whats important and a substantive press release will come. We just hope that this law firm doesn't eat away any of ATNG's recent profits. ____________________________________________________________ BSI2000 BSIO Quick Snapshot Quick Links Closing Price: $.0779 www.bsi2000.com 52 week high: $.510 SEC fillings and insider transactions 52 week low: $.0380 Charts Yesterdays Dollar Volume: $24,000 Time and Sales Yesterdays No. of Trades: 20 Financials Avg. Read as much as you can and stay as informed as possible, but realize that trading on your own personal opinions can be detrimental to your wealth. Realize that when the market is down, the majority of investors will make the wrong decision. Crowd psychology can be the most important factor when making decisions. Just start a financial conversation at your local pit stop and you will probably see that most mom and pop investors are still talking about the dot com bust of the ninety's and Enron. Financial markets are remarkable predictors of the future and looking for trends is always the first place to start. Learn to zig while others are zagging, and keep your opinions and emotions out of your trading. | Penny Stocks Daily Monday, August 9, 2004 Good Morning, There are several scenarios that could be played out in the market for the rest of the summer. All of these depend on the course of several factors, Oil, Alan Greenspans stance on the economy and interest rates and the presidential elections. Oil can supply instant gratification at any time. With OPEC adding more supply and with a sluggish economy decreasing demand, we may see a drop in prices similar to the last one. Oil at $35 a barrel would add quite a boost in confidence for investors. We have seen an apparent top over the last couple of days, with Fridays significant softness not helping the stock market at all adding a small element of divergence. The Federal Reserve meets on Tuesday where it will likely raise rates by another quarter percent. The stock market was in a tight trading range for most of this year mainly because the FED has, for the first time, forecasted it's exact rate hikes and dates to an almost 99% predictability rate. As future hikes have become more uncertain, we see volatility return and a break out from this range. Unfortunately we broke to the down side on poor economic news. This may be the first time we see a rally in the stock market on a rate hike in a while, which is an interesting path to go down that is similar to 1994. With a fifty/fifty chance of either party getting their nominee elected this November, we expect a rally in the stock market no matter who wins given the timing and historical seasonality. Volatility readings currently match those of all of this years clear bottoms. With this mornings futures pointing to a slightly higher open, we will remain cautious as rallies from lows rarely come the day after they are made. We may have seen the low on the major indices, but we will almost certainly have the chance to buy again at those lows before we head back up. We expect the market to test this new ground for at least a few days. New Initiatives and Recent Developments We are currently 84.6% invested in penny stocks which is al little higher than we would like to be, but still a reasonable position. In fact we expect to become very close to 100% over the next few days with additions to our most lightly weighted stocks, as well as one or two new issues added to the portfolio.. We expect the OTC BB to find a bottom here right along with the major markets, and are looking for the best opportunities to show themselves. The stocks in our portfolio are there for a reason, and we would encourage those who are not invested at the same proportions as us to add to any stocks that are currently below our average price. This company definitely has the balance sheet and prospects to support a much higher price and we will patiently await it. Fridays volume spike may show up on some radar screens and we may see a little bit of positive action today. This would help keep this stock above $.20 which would be a great support level. ____________________________________________________________ Atng Inc. We would not continue to hold on to a position that we did not feel confident about. We have, however, stopped buying more of this issue as we are already overweighted. We think that this would be a great price for anyone who has not initiated a buy yet. ____________________________________________________________ BSI2000 BSIO Quick Snapshot Quick Links Closing Price: $.076 www.bsi2000.com 52 week high: $.510 SEC fillings and insider transactions 52 week low: $.0380 Charts Yesterdays Dollar Volume: $57,000 Time and Sales Yesterdays No. of Trades: 53 Financials Avg. Compare it against all numbers, and realize that it is not ridiculous to see sales, profits and even cash approach this number. Looking for turnaround stories, you may see this a lot, look for all three of these numbers or others to match the market cap. Also look for expenses, or debt that matches MC for a view of the other side. Finally, be sure to incorporate the stocks actual and future volatility. Give yourself a likely range of Market Cap that may match the current fluctuations in price.
