Action on Friday was relatively weak, with the NASDAQ Small Cap, OTC BB and Pink Sheets posting around 550 million in dollar volume, less than a
third of what is normally seen.  With this light action came a slight positive bias with respect to price action.  Advancers barely edged out decliners over
all with The Pink Sheets looking the best, and the OTC BB and NASDAQ basically breaking even.
So far this morning, things look very similar to Fridays action, only with a slight negative bias on fairly light trade.  We can expect to see this weak action
continue all week long, and then next Monday, things will once again be very robust.
Earnings are expected from NASDAQ issue RICK.  The sub Five dollar stock has seen some fairly heavy trade today and Friday with some negative
momentum starting to take shape.  The company is due to release their fourth quarter report after the market close today.  Earnings are also expected
some time today from Pink Sheet stocks MCMCF, NFGRF and UCZWF.

Failed mortgage lender IndyMac, now trading on the Pink Sheets under the symbol IDMCQ, saw a tremendous pop this morning.  The stock is up about
350% on 800 trades so far.  A consortium of private equity and hedge fund firms, including J.C. Flowers & Co, is close to a deal to buy the assets of the
bankrupted entity.  The prospective buyers also include Dune Capital Management, a private investment firm run by former Goldman Sachs executives,
and hedge fund Paulson & Co, the source said.  The consortium would buy the bank and its 33 branches, IndyMac's reverse-mortgage unit and a $176
billion loan-servicing portfolio, the source said.  The stock began trading on the Pink Sheets this past October, and has traded as low as 2 cents.  The
stock is currently trading at 17 cents after the news this weekend.

The stock market will close early tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST, and will also be closed completely on Thursday, December 25, as well as Thursday,
January 1, 2009.  Remember, professional money managers tend to vacation around scheduled holidays.  They may also close positions a few days
before the holiday, causing lighter volume both weeks.  Things will pick up slightly next week, but will probably not be at full strength until Monday,
January 5, 2009.  Yesterday, the total dollar volume on the NASDAQ Small Cap, OTC BB and Pink Sheets was around 1.25 billion, well below the 1.7 to
1.8 billion seen all last week.
Positive sectors so far today are Cement, Internet Service Providers, Agricultural Chemicals, Medical Practitioners and General Entertainment.  Losers
so far today are Semi-conductors, Toy and Hobby stores, Railroads, Lumber & wood Production and Department stores.  Overall, there is a negative
bias once again today with decliners beating advancers among Micro Cap stocks by about 3 to 2.

One big winner on the day so far is OTC BB stock HPSO, which has seen five strait positive sessions.  The stock was as low as $0.11 early last week
and has traded as high as $0.47 today.  The stock is up 42% on the day on 121 trades.  On Friday, the company announced that they have set a
conference call for  4:15 PM EST  on  January 6th, 2009.  On Wednesday last week, the company had announced that a license they are biding for could
be worth 400 million dollars in revenue for  their subsidiary, Valtech Inc.  As announced on  December 9th, 2008 , this bid is for a national DVBT license
in  Slovakia.  Once awarded the license for the exclusive distribution of digital TV signal throughout the country of  Slovakia , Valtech will implement and
manage for the network for 20 years.  This could represent over 20 million dollars per year in revenue for Valtech Inc.

Activity levels in the financial markets has dropped off considerably today as the first of two holiday weeks begins.  The run rate of dollar volume on the
OTC BB, Pink Sheets and NASDAQ Small cap is right around 1.1 billion, well below the 1.7 we saw most of last week.  Today's price action is decidedly
negative, with advancers beating decliners by about 5 to 3.
Holiday sales are down by about 17% over this time last year, and after Christmas returns are expected to be higher as well.  Negative sectors today are
Oil & Gas Drilling and Exploration, Sporting goods stores, General Contractors, Copper and Semiconductors.  Bucking the trend on the positive side
today are foreign securities, Photographic equipment and supplies, Medical Practitioners, Confectioners and Broadcasting.
MicroCap companies expected to release earnings today are NASDAQ Small Cap stock TIBX, seen positing a 17 cent per share profit, OTC BB issue
BEYS, and Pink Sheet stock DLPX.  Earnings releases are light tomorrow, with NASDAQ stock FSII, expected to post a 16 cent per share loss, being the
only issue reporting.
Pink Sheet issue MMAB is one of the only active unlisted stocks today seeing heavy positive action.  The stock is up about 30% on 165 trades so far.
Bulletin Board security BLTA is also seeing positive momentum today and is up 60% on just over 100 trades.  Neither company has any news or filings
to account for the action.
On the NASDAQ Small Cap, PALM is seeing a significant rally, up 12% so far, on very heavy trade, about 9,000 trades.  The company announced this
morning that it will get an additional $100 million equity investment from private-equity firm Elevation Partners.

As was expected, activity levels are almost back at full strength in the U.S. Equity markets, including the NASDAQ
Small Cap, OTC BB and Pink Sheets.  Total dollar volume for these market segments is at about 700 million with
the halfway mark approaching.  Things are particularly active on the Pink Sheets, specifically among bankruptcy
issues, ADR's and foreign securities.  Price action is very positive among these issues as well, with practically all
of the most heavily traded seeing substantial gains.  With Blue chips seeing only a slight negative bias, this
underlying strength could easily be a leading indicator for the week.
Earnings are expected today from NASDAQ Small cap issues TSRI and DYNT, both of which are way to lightly
traded, in fact neither one has seen one trade yet today.
Positive sectors today include Resorts and Casinos, Semi-conductors and Residential construction.  On the
Negative side we have Telecom, Gold and Regional Banks.
Micro Cap Briefings
12/22 - 1/9/08
is currently up 48% on 1,026 trades.  The stock is still a long way from where it was just a couple of weeks ago at around 20 cents.  Before the bell
today, the company announced that it has received notice from the  U.S. Food and Drug Administration  (FDA) that tesetaxel, the latest addition to
Genta's oncology product portfolio, has been granted designation as an "Orphan Drug" for treatment of patients with advanced gastric cancer. Orphan
drug status provides for a period of marketing exclusivity, certain tax benefits, and an exemption from certain fees upon submission of a New Drug
Application. As a late Phase 2 agent, the Company believes tesetaxel is the leading oral taxane currently in clinical development.

We continue to see light trading on the over the counter and NASDAQ Small Cap markets today, as is expected all this week.  Yesterday, the OTC BB,
NASDAQ Small Cap and Pink Sheets did just over a billion in combined dollar volume.  Todays run rate so far points to a similar number.  This means
that trading activity is down by about 40% compared to recent non holiday weeks.
Earnings have been light this week as well, with no issues reporting today.  One very thinly traded stock, CGAG issued guidance concerning earnings,
saying that it expects second quarter earnings of $0.09 to $0.13 per share on revenue of $5.8 million to $6.9 million. The current consensus earnings
estimate is $0.10 per share on revenue of $5.8 million for the quarter ending December 31, 2008.  Tomorrow, one NASDAQ Small Cap stock is
expected to release earnings during market hours, QRCP.
the down side, we have Silver, Office Supplies, Home Improvement Stores, Gold and Nonmetallic Mineral Mining.
The story of the day so far in the unlisted world is from Bulletin Board stock VTLP, which is up 733% on 285 trades currently.  After a notice of late filing
earlier in the month, the company released their earnings on Christmas eve for the quarter ended October 31.  The company, which has 36,450,000
shares of common stock issued and outstanding, had no revenues for the three months ended October 31, 2008.  Their net loss for the three months
ended October 31, 2008 was
$512,541 compared to net income of $89,594 for the three months ended October 31, 2007.  We believe the huge pop today was a direct result of some
biased promotion, and would steer clear.
